The lab is situated in the School of Biosciences, Sir Martin Evans building on Museum Avenue. Below is a link to a University map, we are in building number 35 on that map (up a bunch of stairs!).
Train: If you are travelling here by train, we recommend getting a connection between Cardiff Central and Cathays (take any of the trains heading to Pontypridd, Treherbert, Merthyr Tydfil or Aberdare). When you get to Cathays (the second stop after leaving Central), take the stairs that cross over the train tracks and head to your left to get to Park Place. The School is on your right hand side across the road. Head down the access path that goes between Park Place and Museum Avenue and the entrance to the School is halfway along this path, look for the multi coloured glass entrance and the ‘Sir Martin Evans building’ signs.
Walking: It is a 20-30 minute walk from Cardiff Central to the School of Biosciences. We recommend heading for the National Museum of Wales (opposite City Hall), then walk up Museum Avenue going past the University Main Building (nice stone building), Biosciences is the next building on the right. Please see link below for google map directions.
Car: There is a car park on Colum Road and parking available on Museum Avenue, although all are usually quite busy and are pay and display. Otherwise there is a park and ride service in to Cardiff. On the whole we recommend taking the train!
